From the Dean: Columbia Nursing Moves to #11 in U.S. News & World Report's Nursing School Rankings

U.S. News & World Report recently released the 2016 rankings of top graduate schools in the US. We are pleased that Columbia University School of Nursing has moved from 21st to 11th; placing us within the top 15 schools of nursing in the nation. In addition, five of the Columbia Nursing specialty programs are ranked among the top ten in the nation.

While rankings of this sort must always be viewed with caution, it is nonetheless satisfying for our school to be acknowledged for its commitment to outstanding academic programs, research, and clinical service. This achievement is shared by our faculty, students, alumni and staff who make Columbia Nursing one of the exceptional graduate nursing schools in the nation.

Patients, as well as health care colleagues who interact with Columbia nurses recognize immediately the quality of their professional preparation and commitment to the values and principles of nursing.  I am honored to be part of this extraordinary school and look forward to working with you to build on this progress.
