Komal P. Murali, PhD, ACNP-BC
Komal P. Murali, PhD, RN, ACNP-BC is a T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University School of Nursing in the Comparative and Cost Effectiveness Research Training Program for Nurse Scientists with the mentorship of Drs. Patricia W. Stone and May Hua. Dr. Murali received her PhD in Nursing in 2020 from NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, where her dissertation research examined symptom burden and quality of life in seriously ill adults with multiple chronic conditions receiving palliative care at the end of life. Dr. Murali has over 9 years of clinical experience in neurosurgical and medical critical care settings which has greatly informed her research priorities that seek to improve end of life care for seriously ill adults. Dr. Murali's research focuses on understanding optimal goal-concordant care strategies for seriously ill older adults with multiple chronic conditions across the healthcare continuum from acute care to home healthcare at the end of life.
