Marcia R. Robinson, DNP, MPH

Marcia Robinson is a board certified Family and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Modern Languages from Knox College in Galesburg, IL in 2001. After graduation, she worked as a Medical Assistant for two years in private practice where she cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties, all while pursuing a Nursing degree.

In 2004, Marcia completed an accelerated BSN program at Pace University, after which she worked, first in Long-term care for two years, followed by five years with New York City Health and Hospital Corporation (HHC)-Harlem Hospital, in the intensive care unit.

Marcia was awarded her MSN from Pace University in 2006. She has dedicated over twelve (12) years as a Nurse Practitioner in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in underserved communities located in Westchester and Bronx counties.

In 2010, she completed her DNP degree at Columbia University and in 2017, her post master’s acute care certification at Pace University. Marcia currently works as a cardiology Nurse Practitioner at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, along with per diem work as a hospitalist Nurse Practitioner in Yonkers, NY.

Her passion is to educate and provide care for patients who are disadvantaged, therefore, in addition to her inpatient responsibilities, she continues her outpatient work in a southern Westchester neurology clinic. Marcia advocates for her patients and seeks to have patients play an active role in their care. To accomplish these goals and work across disciplines she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University, in October 2022.
