Your Alumni Profile

You have an alumni profile through the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA).  Information that you enter into your CAA profile will appear in your Columbia Nursing profile.

Please note that if you opt out of email from the CAA, you will not receive email from Columbia Nursing!

Additional questions in your profile will help you connect with other Columbia Nursing alumni with similar interests or with those who work in the same field.  The more information you display, the greater your networking capability will be.

Email Forwarding

Columbia offers e-mail forwarding, which allows you to maintain your email address of no matter what internet service provider you use.  Login to create or manage your account with your (University Network ID) UNI.  Your UNI is your Columbia virtual ID, equivalent to a username or log-on on other systems.  You will need to register your email to continue to receive emails after graduation. 

Lifetime Email Address

You have a lifetime email address from the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA).  UNI and password required.

To create your Columbia Lifetime email forwarding address, log into and click the link on the upper right in white, My E-Mail, then click Create or Manage Account.

Continuing Nurse Education (CNE)

Education doesn’t end with graduation and life-long learning is central to our mission at Columbia Nursing. All alumni are entitled to a special discount of $10 off any course(s) you choose.  We're proud to present to you our first catalog of CNE spring 2016 classes, courses, and webinars to meet all of your re-licensure and certification needs and provide new and challenging learning opportunities for your professional growth and development.

Columbia Alumni Association (CAA)

The CAA Is a global network connecting Columbians of all schools to one another and to the University. At the Medical Center Campus, the Augustus Long Library occupies four floors of the Hammer Health Sciences Center and is one of the largest medical center libraries in the United States. The library receives over 4,300 current journals, has a significant rare book and special collections section, and a large microcomputer and multi-media center.

At the Morningside Campus, the University libraries hold over 5 million books, nearly 2.5 million microforms, and more than 11 million manuscripts. With a university ID card, you have free reading and stack privileges; for a monthly fee, you may have borrowing privileges at Butler and other Columbia libraries (not including the Health Sciences Library, Teachers College Library and the Law School Library).

To use these resources alumni may need to activate their UNI or change their password using this web page.  To pick up a University Alumni Identification Card for library access/privileges, visit The Library Information Office (LIO) Located in Room 201 Butler Library, just to the left of the main entrance.


Columbia Club

Since 1901, the Columbia University Club of New York has been a social, intellectual, cultural, recreational, and professional center of activity for its members. A private social club for alumni of the eighteen schools and divisions of Columbia University, Barnard College, Teachers College, and affiliate schools, the Club offers a gracious and welcoming environment conveniently located in two blocks from Grand Central Terminal.

The Bard Athletic Club at the Health Sciences Campus is open to all Columbia University Health Sciences students, residents, fellows, employees, and alumni. The facility is handicapped accessible. For information about membership fees and hours, call (212) 305-6853.

At the Morningside Campus, the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center features two full size gyms, two swimming pools, squash and racquet ball courts, weight-lifting equipment, an indoor track, and a basketball court.

The University Bookstore

The University Bookstore which is operated as a concession by Barnes and Noble, Inc. has two branches. One is at the Health Sciences Campus, located at 3954 Broadway. It carries texts for courses at the Medical Center, as well as general interest books, school and stationary supplies, and a full line of Columbia mugs, sweatshirts and T-shirts. Show your alumni ID card and get a 10% discount at the Medical Center bookstore.
