Dean Frazier Named as One of 2019’s “Notable Women in Health Care” by Crain’s

Crain’s New York Business (Crain’s) has selected Lorraine Frazier, PhD, Dean of Columbia University School of Nursing, as one of 2019’s “Notable Women in Health Care,” a list which includes 100 honorees. Frazier is an accomplished cardiovascular and genetics researcher, who is regarded as a pioneer in developing and promoting state-of-the-art translational research programs.

Now in its second year, Crain’s “Notable Women in Health Care” list is part of a year-long editorial series to celebrate women in the workplace, honoring executives, researchers, and clinicians who have had a profound impact in health care in New York. The finalists were selected by a Crain’s editorial team, based on a combination of professional achievements, community service, track record of mentoring others, and promotion of diversity and inclusion.

Mary Mundinger, Dean Emerita and Edward M. Kennedy Professor of Health Policy in the Faculty of Nursing, and Wilhelmina Manzano, MA, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Assistant Dean in Nursing, were also selected for inclusion in 2019’s cohort of “Notable Women in Health Care.”
