Columbia’s Division of Nursing Practice unifies nurses and advanced practice providers of all levels across the clinical enterprise and allows them to access professional development resources and career advancement opportunities.

Mission

The Division of Nursing Practice clears a pathway for career advancement, forges a more substantive connection with the nursing school, offers evidence-based, standardized compensation guidelines that make every department competitive as it pertains to recruiting and retaining their nursing and APP staff and creates a community for continuing education along with other initiatives.

The division creates a pipeline that links Columbia nursing students and graduates to specific job openings at CUIMC and creates twin channels for career support – one for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and another for RNs.
