Maeve Brin and Rebecca Schnall, PhD’09, were among the authors of “Evaluation of a Patient Educational Brochure to Increase Knowledge of Cervical Cancer Screening Among Women Living with HIV in La Romana,” published in BMC Public Health.

Arlene Smaldone, PhD’03, and Jean-Marie Bruzzese were among the authors of “Mental Health Diagnoses, Dispositions, and Changes Over Time of Children and Early Adolescents Presenting to Emergency Departments in the United States: A Scoping Review,” published in Academic Pediatrics.

Meghan Reading Turchioe, PhD’18, was the author of “Reading Between the Lines: NLP, Symptom Documentation, and a New Era of Cardiovascular Prognostication,” published in European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing. 

Presentations 

Ariana Komaroff presented “Redefining Well-Child Visits: Not Just Screening for Delays and Deficits, But Also Promoting Connections and Development” at the 47th National Conference on Pediatric Health Care of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) held March 17–21, 2026, in Pittsburgh. 

Allison A. Norful, PhD ’17, participated in “Violence in the Workplace: A Gendered Crisis in Nursing and Women in the Workplace” at the 70th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in a parallel session sponsored by the International Council of Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International, and SONSIEL, on March 17, 2026, in New York City. 

Honors 

Ashley Graham-Perel was named a Woman of Distinction by the New York Regional Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives on March 28, 2026.
