CUSON was one of the institutions awarded a $400,000 grant from the National Institute for Nursing Research to study “Hydroxyurea for Personal Best in Sickle Cell Treatment: HABIT.” One of the principal investigators is Assistant Dean, Scholarship and Research Arlene Smaldone, DNSc. Professor Suzanne Bakken, PhD will serve as a co-investigator and Associate Professor Haomiao Jia, PhD as a biostatistician.
