Dean Bobbie Berkowitz Receives Many New Honors

Dean Bobbie Berkowitz, PhD was elected as a fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Berkowitz has also been elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York & its subsidiary, Visiting Nurse Service of New York Home Care, and as an elected member of Health Care Executive Forum of New York Community Trust which was founded in 1982 to give women in senior health care executive positions in NY metropolitan region an opportunity to network & share ideas.

In addition, Dr. Berkowitz has been appointed to the National Quality Forum's Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Coordinating Committee. Charge is to provide input to Health & Human Services on the selection of performance measure for use in public reporting, performance-based payment & other programs. MAP is collaboration w/ organizations representing major stakeholder groups, individual experts and federal agencies with goal of supporting better, more affordable care. She was also appointed to IOM Living Well with Chronic Disease Committee.
