Ritamarie John, EdD, DNP, Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing
- PNP who serves as program director of our PNP program & Neonatal NP program
- At Columbia for 13 yrs & earned doctoral degrees in teaching & practice
- Diplomate of the American Board of Comprehensive care in 2009
- Research focuses on the practice & teaching of pediatric primary care & includes technology in both student & patient education
Lori Rosenthal, DNP, Associate Clinical Professor of Nursing
- ANP who practices at Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation. She is a Senior Transplant Coordinator & Director of Regulatory Compliance for Liver Transplantation at Columbia & Cornell
- Earned her DNP in 2005; Diplomate of the American Board of Comprehensive care in 2009
- With 4 transplant colleagues, developed an educational organization, Women in 3D (Drinking Does Damage), which educates & targets young women who drink
- Clinical leader on NIH-funded HIV transplant grant at Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation. Publications focus on transplantation.
Arlene Smaldone, DNSc, Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing
- Certified as PNP & diabetes educator
- DNSc in 2003; joined faculty in 2005
- Research focused in the areas of pediatric sleep and diabetes care & management
- Leadership role in the Eastern Nursing Research Society
Kara Ventura, DNP, Associate Clinical Professor of Nursing
- PNP and Senior Transplant Coordinator at the Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation for 7 yrs
- Active role with quality improvement & assurance transplant Dept at NYPH
- Earned her DNP in 2007; Diplomate of American Board of Comprehensive Care in 2009
- Publications focus on care of intestine & liver patients in pediatric setting
