Sally W. Aboelela received a Provost Innovative Course Module Design Grant for her proposal, “Using Generative AI to Close Individual Learning Gaps Post-Summative Assessments,” by the Columbia University Provost’s Office, announced on June 14, 2024. 

Natalie Benda was recognized for her top-cited paper for 2023 in Journal of Nursing Scholarship.  

Amanda Hessels was interviewed for Healthcare Purchasing News about sharps safety and how workers across multiple disciplines can share knowledge to help one another stay safe. She discussed her background with the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act of 2001 and the risk of blood-borne pathogens. 

A study by Allison Norful, PhD ’17, “Nursing Perspectives About the Critical Gaps in Public Health Emergency Response During the COVID‐19 Pandemic,” was recognized as a top cited paper for 2023 by the Journal of Nursing Scholarship. She also served as a panelist on “Registered Nurses: The Missing Link in Primary Care Transformation,” a policy debrief panel at the 2024 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting.
