  • Jeanne Churchill, DNP ’10 presented “Pediatric Cardiac Assessment” at the University of Navarra School of Nursing Virtual Global Program in conjunction with the Columbia Office of Global Initiatives and MDE program.
  • Jingjing Shang and Ashley Chastain presented “Infection Prevention and Outbreak Preparedness in Home Healthcare” at the APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) 2021 Annual Conference, held virtually from June 28‒30, 2021.

Awards/Honors

  • Kellie Bryant was awarded the Education Excellence Award from the International Council of Nurses Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Network (NP/APN Network).
  • DNP student Danielle O'Neill was named a 2021 Tillman scholar by the Pat Tillman Foundation.
  • Nurse anesthesia graduate Alexandra Fusco, MS ’21 received the Anne Penland Award presented to a senior nurse anesthesia resident who demonstrates qualities of academic excellence, clinical proficiency in anesthesia, and empathy for patients.

Other News

  • Two abstracts by Jeanne Churchill, DNP ’10 were accepted for presentation at the International Council of Nurses Conference in November 2021: “Art in the Time of Crisis” and “IPE: A Model for Collaboration, Respect, and Improved Health Outcomes.”
  • Nancy King Reame was invited to join the editorial board for the multidisciplinary journal Nutrients, as a member of the Nutrition in Women section.
