Amanda Hessels, PhD, assistant professor, was among the authors of “Missed Opportunities: The Development and Testing of Standard Precaution Case Vignettes,” published in the Journal of Infusion Nursing. Hessels was also among the authors of “Dissemination and Implementation Science for Infection Prevention: A Primer,” published in the American Journal of Infection Control.

Tonda Hughes, PhD, Henrik H. Bendixen Professor of International Nursing; Cindy Veldhuis, PhD, postdoctoral research fellow; and Kelly Martin, MEd, project manager, were among the authors of “Femininity, Masculinity, and Body Image in a Community-Based Sample of Lesbian and Bisexual Women,” published in Women & Health.

Kristine Kulage, MPH, director of the Office of Scholarship and Research Development; Arlene Smaldone ’03, PhD, professor, and assistant dean of scholarship and research; John Usseglio, MPH, informationist, CUIMC; and Jennifer Bain, MD, PhD, assistant professor of neurology, CUIMC, were among the authors of “How Has DSM-5 Affected Autism Diagnosis? A 5-Year Follow-Up Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis,” published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.

Carolyn Sun ’15, PhD, associate research scientist, was among the authors of “Using a Delphi Survey to Develop Clinical Nursing Research Priorities Among Nursing Management,” published in The Journal of Nursing Administration.

Rita Marie John ’05, DNP, special lecturer, and Laura Kelly, PhD, associate professor, presented “Mental Health Review Course for PMHS” and “CRC-PMHS: Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist Certification Review Course,” at the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) 40th National Conference on Pediatric Health Care, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Kathleen Mullen, DNP, assistant professor, presented “Team-Based Learning with Virtual and Manikin Simulation,” at the 2019 Celebration of Teaching and Learning Symposium, in New York, New York.

Laura Starbird, PhD, postdoctoral research fellow, presented “A Randomized Trial of HIV/HCV Nurse Case Management for Linkage to HCV Care,” at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, in Seattle, Washington.
