Overview

Beatriz Makhoulian, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, teaches in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Columbia Nursing and maintains clinical expertise in primary care and integrated behavioral health. Her program of scholarship focuses on improving access to mental health services in primary care, addressing social determinants of health, and advancing competency-based nurse practitioner education. Makhoulian has disseminated her work locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally through nursing and nurse practitioner forums, including ENRS, NONPF, The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She is committed to preparing future nurse practitioners to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, and equitable care across diverse populations.
