Overview

Maribeth Massie, Ph.D., MS, CRNA, '98 has been the Program Director of the Columbia University Nurse Anesthesia Program since November 2018 and was the Assistant Program Director at Columbia for 7.5 years. She was previously the Program Director and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of New England Master of Science Nurse Anesthesia Program in Portland, Maine from 2010-2018. She has been actively involved on the state and national level since 1998 and is currently the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Region 1 Director. Maribeth completed her Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017. Her current clinical practice is at Intermed Ambulatory Surgery Center in Portland, Maine. Her previous clinical practice was as a CRNA at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. 1.19
