Overview

Pasklinsky is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in simulation-based education and interprofessional learning. She directs an active global collaboration with Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, leading a joint simulation-based elective in compassionate communication for non-native English-speaking nursing and medical students, and has advised on simulation center development in Liberia and Changsha, China.

As associate professor and assistant dean of the Helene Fuld Health Trust Simulation Center at Columbia University School of Nursing, she leads simulation-based interprofessional education (IPE) spanning nursing, medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, and dentistry — building the cross-disciplinary partnerships and curriculum innovation that prepare health professions students for complex, team-based care.
Her current focus is AI-driven simulation. A 2026 Google AI Fellow and Columbia AiX Fellow, Pasklinsky is shaping how artificial intelligence is integrated into clinical education at Columbia and across the field; in September 2026, she becomes Chair of the AIHC Innovation Collaborative.

Pasklinsky built her national reputation over nearly two decades at NYU, whereas Executive Director of Simulation Learning at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing she led the center's Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) accreditation and directed implementation of the Epic academic electronic health record into the nursing curriculum. She also served two terms on the NYU Alumni Association Board of Directors, chairing the Benefits and Services Committee before becoming Chair Emeritus this past year.

She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced (CHSE-A) and a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine (FNYAM). Her honors include the Gold Foundation's Champion of Humanistic Care Award (2021) and the Rose and George Doval Award for Excellence in Nursing Education (2018), and she has held governance roles with Sigma Theta Tau International, including Chair of the Governance Committee and Co-Chair of the Awards Committee for the Upsilon Chapter.
