Sarah Weinstein, PhD, CNM, FACNM, IBCLC, PMH-C

Sarah Weinstein, PhD, CNM, FACNM, IBCLC, PMH-C is a midwife-scientist working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Columbia School of Nursing through the T32 Project: Reducing Health Differences Through Informatics. Sarah has attended birth and provided full-scope midwifery care across settings in the southwest, and she is a breastfeeding and lactation medicine specialist active in her midwifery community. Her work focuses on the upstream causes of maternal health disparities that differentially impact childbearing persons and their families. She is especially interested in understanding and addressing disparities in lactation outcomes, gaps in lactation research, and community and culturally rooted midwifery models of care as mechanisms to address health disparities.
