Midwifery DNP student Tylea Eison shared her future career goals: “I hope to open an affordable birth center in California to provide equitable care to expecting families. I am a nursing student, but I am also a sister to many which has played a role in shaping my identity. I am always reminded that I have younger siblings who look up to me in way more than my profession, and also think it's pretty cool to have a sister who is learning to deliver babies. Someone who has helped me get to where I am today is my dad, Tyler, who has made so many sacrifices for me to pursue what is important to me. He has helped me know that I can give anything a try and see it through, and that mistakes are OK as long as you grow from them.”
