Melissa Beauchemin, PhD '19, presented “Financial Toxicity in Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Populations” at the 36th Annual Scientific Sessions of the Eastern Nursing Research Society, held April 4 and 5, 2024, in Boston. She also delivered a Survivorship Grand Rounds presentation titled “Use and Misuse of Opioids in Cancer Survivors” at the Texas AYA Oncology Conference, on April 18, 2024, in Houston.

Awards 

Billy Caceres received a 2024 Early-Stage Investigator Award from the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research (ABMR). This award is given annually to exceptional early-career scientists to support their participation in the annual ABMR meeting (to be held in Minneapolis, June 20-23, 2024), including a preconference leadership workshop. 

Other News 

Gregory Alexander was awarded a grant by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to support “A Roadmap for Research: The International Summit on Innovation and Technology in Care of Older People,” a panel to be held at Columbia Nursing on June 6 and 7, 2024. 

Sabina Opiola McCauley, DNP '10, was interviewed by Contemporary Pediatrics on congenital syphilis and the current surge in U.S. cases.
