CIRAR (Center for Interdisciplinary Research to Reduce Antimicrobial Resistance), under the extraordinary direction of Elaine Larson, PhD, has achieved an amazing record of funding success. In 2007 and 2008, funding for CIRAR grants has totaled $7,690,264. Including affiliated grants under the CIRAR umbrella brings the total to $9,971,734. Under Dr. Larson's leadership, the following principal investigators/directors: Patricia Stone, PhD and Leanne Currie, DNSc of the School of Nursing; Sherry Glied of Public Health; Richard Kessin, Sameer Patel, and Lisa Saiman of P&S all have received CIRAR funding.
