Columbia Nursing research funded by the NIH in FFY 2025 addressed mitigating racial and ethnic disparities in postpartum outcomes, improving asthma control in adolescents and adults, promoting viral suppression among people living with HIV, supporting better care for home health care and nursing home patients, and much more.
Members of the Columbia Nursing faculty also continue to secure funding for their research from a wide variety of other governmental and private sources, including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the American Nurses Foundation, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, and the Oncology Nursing Foundation.
Columbia Nursing ranked #1 in NIH research funding for FFYs 2022, 2023, and 2024.
