CUIMC Public Service Academy Honors Five from Nursing School

Five Columbia Nursing faculty members have been named to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) Academy of Community and Public Service Class of 2022: Assistant Professor Jeanne Churchill, DNP '10; Assistant Professor Ellen Fahey, DNP '11; Associate Professor Laura Kelly, PhD; Associate Professor Sabrina Opiola McCauley, DNP '10; and Clinical Nursing Instructor Mary Moran, MS.

Launched in 2020 at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Academy of Community and Public Service (ACPS) was extended in 2021 to include Columbia Nursing, the College of Dental Medicine, and the Mailman School of Public Health.

ACPS recognizes faculty at all of Columbia University’s health sciences schools who have shown exceptional community service efforts and have devoted a significant amount of their careers to promoting and improving health locally and around the world. Academy members have gone above and beyond to promote clinical care, medical education, and research in the community and globally.  New academy members were to be inducted in an early evening reception in January.
