Grants and Gifts

  • Michelle Appelbaum, PhD ’07 was named NP of the Year by the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State.
  • Marlene McHugh, DNP, FNP, DCC, assistant professor, received the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association/American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing Award.
  • Judy Wolfe, MSEd, senior director of admissions, received CUMC’s Baton Award on behalf or her outstanding collaboration and teamwork.

Briefs

  • Lisa Ho, PNP student, received the award for the best PNP Master’s capstone project on G-6PD deficiency  Other presentations from the PNP class of 2014 included Chiari Malformation, primary care for children with gender dysphoria, cow’s milk protein allergies, palliative care, pediatric corticosteroid use, wound care, and ski injuries.
