PAHO/WHO re-designated the School of Nursing as a PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for Advanced Practice Nursing for a period of four years

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) re-designated the School of Nursing as a PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for Advanced Practice Nursing for a period of four years (2011-2015). This re-designation is the cornerstone of the School's global initiatives as we work to strengthen the human resources research and planning capacity among schools of nursing in Haiti, strengthen emergency preparedness and response capacities among key nursing leaders and work on the development of guidelines to help schools of nursing that educate and precept nurses who are HIV/AIDS primary care providers in Africa.
