Catching Colorectal Cancer Early: Screening Saves a Life

A recent screening led to an early diagnosis for one Columbia Doctors Nurse Practitioner Group patient, who said: “My experience highlights the importance of not delaying your colorectal cancer screening and staying informed about your family history so you can take proactive steps before it's too late.”  

 

Columbia Nursing to Award its First DNPs in Nurse Anesthesia

NIH Cuts End Influential Fellowship for Nursing Scientists

To date, 32 PhDs and 23 postdocs have completed the Reducing Health Disparities Through Informatics (RHeaDI) training fellowship funded by the National Institutes of Health, while scientists funded by or affiliated with RHeaDI have collectively secured over $100 million in federal research funding.

Annual Pinning Ceremony Welcomes New Nurses

Students receive pin and other honors at 2025 pinning ceremony

A Columbia Nursing tradition dating back to the 1860s continues. At the annual Masters Direct Entry pinning ceremony, 175 students received their pin, symbolizing their preparedness to serve the health needs of society after completing the school’s rigorous program.
