Five from Columbia Nursing Inducted as NYAM Fellows

Four faculty and one postdoc from Columbia Nursing have joined the New York Academy of Medicine’s latest class of fellows. 

Professor Gregory Alexander, PhD, Assistant Professor Melissa Beauchemin, PhD ’19,  Assistant Professor Ashley Graham-Perel, EdD, Assistant Professor Monica O’Reilly-Jacob, PhD,  and Michele Flynch, PhD, a postdoctoral research fellow, were inducted at the 178th Anniversary Discourse, Annual Awards, and Meeting of the Fellows, held on December 1, 2025.  

The following alumni were also inducted: Melissa Gray, DNP 22, Kathryn Hall, MS 19, Rosario Jaime Lara, MS 14, Lisette Kimbere, DNP 20, and Monique Meacham, MS 23.

Founded in 1847, the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) has recognized nearly 2,000 individuals as fellows. They join a community of distinguished professionals, elected by their peers, who share NYAM’s commitment to achieving health equity. This community also works together to address clinical and population health issues facing individuals and communities in New York City and cities around the world.
